 The real “Lab Pros”
Southern California Reference Laboratory (SCRL) originated in 1983 as
Central Reference Laboratory (CRL). Later in the decade, CRL became the
largest clinical laboratory in Orange County and eventually merged with
another large California based reference laboratory. In 1998, many
clinicians requested the formation of a laboratory like CRL. with its
well-known personal touch and customized services. This need found
expression as the nucleus for SCRL's mission: “big lab” quality with “small
lab” touch, innovative and customizable services, and staff with highly
specialized MDs, PhDs and laboratory scientists. Our goal is not to
benchmark the services of other laboratories, but to exceed expectations in
terms of testing quality and patient care.
