 In addition to offering a full range of routine clinical assays, SCRL is
an innovator in cardiac risk markers. In 1998, SCRL was the first
laboratory in Southern California and among the first six laboratories
nationwide to offer LDL and HDL subfractionation by polyacrylamide gel
electrophoresis, which subsequently was and currently still is the only
assay of its kind approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. In
addition, our cardiac risk profile ‘Comprehensive Lipid Profile’ was
complemented by high sensitivity CRP ‘hS CRP’, Homocysteine, Lp(a),
Vitamin B 12 and Folic Acid to give clinicians a comprehensive picture of
cardiac risk factors. |
